Foča

Foča

Foča is 75 kilometers east of Sarajevo – close to the Montenegrin border. The main pull for this mountain town is what’s found in its surroundings. Foča is dominated by 2,000-meter peaks in every direction and is the main headquarters for Tara River rafting. All of the rafting operators are based here. This is the meeting point before heading east to the border for one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most attractive and wildest rivers. Sutjeska National Park is on the south side of the Drina River. The park is 34 kilometers from the center of Foča and is well connected by the main road to Trebinje and further on to Dubrovnik. Sutjeska is a nature lovers’ paradise.
