Until recently, modern-day Tešanj was not very famous among Bosnians, but two events put it into a spotlight. In 2003, Pjer Žalica decided to make Tešanj the setting for his new movie „Gori vatra“. This movie won the Sarajevo Film Festival Grand Prize and was also nominated for the Oscars. Also, Tešanj’s mineral water won bronze medal in 2005 in Berkeley Springs Mineral Water Contest, making it internationally known and appreciated. There is a rumor that even President Bill Clinton requested Tešanjski Dijamant to be served in the White House. If you would like to try Tešanjski dijamant, you don’t actually have to buy it. As unbelievable as it sounds, you can just pour your own bottle with this top-quality water in the public source called Tešanjski Kiseljak. Around the source is a picnic area where you can rest and enjoy your water.
